2025 Kia Tasman price and specs: Australian orders open for Korean brand’s first ute

The Kia Tasman is now available to order in Australia, ahead of first customer deliveries in July.
Kia will first launch the Tasman in dual-cab pickup guise, before adding a dual-cab/chassis in August, followed by a single-cab/chassis in “late 2025”.
Available in a single 4×2 grade and five 4×4 trim levels, the Kia Tasman is offered across five variants: S, SX, SX+, X-Line and X-Pro.
Pricing starts from $42,990 before on-road costs for the Tasman S 4×2, undercutting the most affordable Ford Ranger 4×2 dual-cab by $290.

Opting for the 4×4 adds $7000 to the purchase price ($49,990), while the SX steps up to $54,490 before on-roads, and the SX+ at $62,390 plus on-roads.
The tougher-looking Tasman X-Line starts from $67,990 before on-road costs, while the flagship off-road oriented X-Pro is $74,990 plus on-roads.
For context, a four-cylinder bi-turbo Ford Ranger Wildtrak costs $69,640, but the turbo-diesel V6 undercuts the top-shelf Tasman by $150 while offering significantly more power and torque.
While the Kia Tasman has a payload capacity in excess of 1000kg across all variants, for no extra cost buyers can opt for a sub-one tonne payload, allowing the ute to qualify for novated leasing.
