Aaryamann jokes he has learned overacting from mother Archana Puran Singh: ‘That’s why I have not got a single role…’
Archana Puran Singh’s vlogs on YouTube are rapidly gaining popularity. The actor, along with her family—husband Parmeet Sethi and sons Aaryamann and Ayushmann Sethi—regularly takes on fun activities to entertain viewers. In her latest vlog, the family visited multiple pizzerias. Archana’s son Aaryamann also opened up about facing rejections in auditions.
In an earlier video, Parmeet playfully asked his sons, “Tum dono mein se gadha kaun hai?” (Who among the two of you is the donkey?) In the latest vlog, his sons revealed that a troll had commented under the video, “Tum chaaron gadhe ho (All four of you are donkeys).” Another comment suggested Aaryamann and Ayushmann are not hero material. The troll wrote, “Hero wali vibes nahi hain dono mein, but theek hai paise wale hain (At least they have money).” Archana instantly smiled and said, “Arey nahi yaar, aisa mat bolo (Please don’t say like this).”
When Aaryamann Sethi expressed his excitement for pizza at the restaurant, his mother quipped, “Arry, itna excited hogaya hai.” To which, he replied, “Overacting! Have learnt it from you only, and that’s why I still haven’t gotten even a single role after 100 auditions. Reverse nepotism is going on with me.” Archana quipped, “It’s not like you aren’t getting roles because I am your mother, you must be doing something wrong, hence not getting the roles.”
Aaryamann added, “Audition walon ko thappad nahi maarna hota?”, leaving everyone in splits. “I hope this is just a joke. I got scared and my heart stopped for a second that you actually slapped,” Archana said, while laughing.
After trying vegetable and Mumbai masala pizzas at the restaurant, the family headed towards another pizzeria. While discussing and rating their meal on the way, Parmeet remarked, “Aaj kal kya fiza hai, kya pizza hai!” His son Aaryamann Sethu chimed in, “Aur yeh kaisa pita hai! (What kind of a father is he)”
On the professional front, Archana Puran Singh was last seen reprising her role of Miss Braganza in Naadaniyaan. She has the film Toaster and The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 in the pipeline.
