Dolly Parton-approved musical comedy announces Perth season

Dolly Parton fan and American actor Tricia Paoluccio poured herself a big cup of ambition when she set out to co-create and star in Parton-inspired two-person musical comedy Here You Come Again.
Not only did the show go on to be officially produced with the approval of Dolly Parton herself, but it sold out seasons across the United States in 2023 and a subsequent UK tour.
Here You Come Again is now on its way to Australia with a Perth season at the Regal Theatre from August 22.
The heartwarming musical follows the story of a diehard fan whose fantasy version of international icon Dolly Parton helps him navigate life’s toughest challenges, while featuring a celebration of Parton’s biggest hits from Jolene and Islands In The Stream to I Will Always Love You and 9 To 5.
Paoluccio continues to play the role of Dolly in the Australian shows, collaborating with Aussie actor Dash Kruck (Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar) and a live band.
“I’ve loved Dolly my whole life and have been singing her songs since I was a little girl,” Broadway performer Paoluccio said.
“It’s been my dream to create a musical comedy that celebrates her music while imagining how she might help someone in a real-life way. Having Dolly’s personal stamp of approval on this piece makes it even more special, and I can’t wait to bring this production to Australia.”
Here You Come Again will have its Australian premiere at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on July 12 before travelling to the Regal Theatre, Subiaco, from August 22. Tickets at hereyoucomeagain.com.au.
