How To How To – BlogGaud

Over the past ten years, side hustles have gained in popularity and become a way to supplement income.
Side Hustles
- Freelance Writer
- Rideshare Driver
- Food Delivery
- Photography
- Real Estate
- Life Coach
- Tutoring
- Personal Trainer
- Web Development
- Home Cleaning
With no formal training in these areas, it is hard to know where to start. Many turn to YouTube for tutorials and instructional videos. In fact, creating informational videos on YouTube to support side hustles is, in itself, a side hustle.
After using Ikigai to determine what side hustle is best for you, it may be overwhelming to jump right into YouTube tutorials. That’s where the How To How To program comes in.
How To How To How it Works
- I’ve identified the best tutorial videos on YouTube for each side hustle. I used number of views, comments, and general impressions of the videos to make my selections.
- I hired a skilled actor (my dad) to be the face of How To How To.
- I placed my dad in front of a laptop in an aesthetically pleasing room (my parents’ living room).
- I set up a camera facing my dad.
- I recorded my dad as he watched the various YouTube tutorials. It is important to note that I did not record the tutorials themselves, just my dad’s facial and verbal reactions to the videos.
- I published those videos.
How To How To Why it Works
- There’s resistance to trying new things.
- You’re less likely to get started when the first step seems daunting.
- With How To How To, all you’re doing is watching someone else learning the How To. I’ve scaffolded the learning process to reduce the initiation cost, remove the barrier to entry, and provide people with a shallow entry point.
- When you see how easy it is for my dad to watch videos, you’ll say, “Hey, if Dave’s dad can sit down and watch videos, then so can I!”
How To How To is looking for success stories! If our program helped you in anyway, please contact us at HowToHowTo@terribleideas.com. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the star of our next video series, How To How To How To, where we record individuals watching videos of my dad watching videos.
